On Sunday 2nd June and Wednesday 5th June 2019, we will demonstrate how VI-DAS can enable L3 hand over and hand back. The aim of the demonstration is to show take-over and hand back transition strategies for SAE-L3: from manual to automated and from automated to manual. The approach is based on next generation 720º vision inspired driver assistances systems.
This year’s demonstrations will run on the corridor between the Evoluon and the Helmond Automotive Campus – a living lab for smart mobility solutions. At this international hotspot for automotive business, ground-breaking technologies are being developed and tested. Right alongside the campus one of the showpieces of the living lab can be found: the A270 motorway. A mile-long real-life test location equipped with cameras, transponders, and Wi-Fi beacons, connected to a high-end control room, the Traffic Innovation Centre.
